Rediscover Firsts

There’s nothing like a first experience. Your whole self is absorbed, all senses are active, intrigued and present while your neurons are firing and recording the marvels you will dream about later. But when we experience the situation again, it’s far less dramatic and easier to glaze over or discover anything new.

But are we missing something by not reengaging, especially if time has passed since our first encounter? It’s likely we will have new perspectives, experiences and changes in life that could open our minds to see things differently.

How many trees, sunsets, birthday parties, and ice cream cones do we experience in a lifetime? It’s easy to check mark anything we’ve already done. Fulfilling the endorphins with new firsts is an adventure of life while revisiting the ones we’ve already had can bring new lessons in unexpected ways.

How many different experiences can you have from the same thing?
Possibly as many chances as you give them. //
